BASQUE COUNTRY

Basque Country covers the northeastern coastal part of our country, bordering with France. We call it “Green Spain” because its wet and temperate with an oceanic climate allows lush pastures and forests to thrive over landscapes full of hills and mountains, estuaries and endless green.

As well as being a relatively natural and rural region where you can still witness centuries old of traditions in any village along the coast, you can also find the most modern pulse around Bilbao's Guggenheim, which has reshaped a once-grey industrial city.
